Mr. & Mrs. Nice - Wedding

I suppose I will give you a little information on how I know Meg and Casey. When I went to go for my job interview at Stonewall Jackson High School. Meg happened to be the one interviewing me. Honestly she was so easy to talk to and made me feel really comfortable. Working with her in the Sped department was always fun.  The more we chatted she asked me one day if I would be willing to do her engagement photos. The first session it was so misty outside I could tell Meg's hair getting messed up was bothering her and I told them no worries we will finish it up another day. But at that session we did do all the photos with their dog Ziggy. Ziggy was planned to be a big part in the wedding, unfortunately he passed away about a month before the wedding, but was there in spirit. Ziggy lived a long wonderful life with them, he was their child, and meant the world to them. I was so happy to meet Zig because he was a sweet dog with such a cute smile.  He was very happy giving them kisses, playing with his toy and loving life. Being able to provide them with some photos that they can love forever is what makes my job so special. I won't forget that session, ever....
When we went to do the makeup engagement session the sun was out nice and bright and we decided to go to an abandon building in down town Fredericksburg. The building was so cool! But during the two sessions is when I was able to get to know Casey. He is so polite, patient, and a true gentleman. He would laugh with Meg and just make her feel more comfortable while the pictures were being taken.  It was a long, but fun day!
A few weeks before the wedding day Meg had her hair and makeup trial. They love photos, well Meg does more, but what woman doesn't? So Meg asked if we could do a bridal session but go ahead and just do portraits of her and Casey.  I was all for it.  We get to the dock where their wedding was going to be, and the one day it is FILLED with kids...and let me tell you this was one HOT day! So because that was nixed we went to the winery where their rehearsal dinner was going to be held. Then we went to some spots in their neighborhood. We took lots of beautiful photos, with great lighting!
Now the wedding day is here...let me remind you its the  END of JULY. Folks the rain, cold, and wind ummmmm not my normal July wedding. But the two of them were troopers. I am extremely happy we did the photos of them from before, which are mixed in here with the others and honestly are hard to tell what day is what...The wedding itself was beautiful. Meg really put so much thought into the decorating. I said that a million times throughout the day. All the thought and how she transformed the rooms. I LOVED how they had their favorite ice cream place called Cool Zone come and do an ice cream buffet. Of course I had to have a taste. HELLO, it was AMAZING!
In the end their wedding was beautiful, it might not of been outside like they hoped but the room was filled of love, with family and friends celebrating two people that love each other very much.
Now that Meg got a new and awesome job in Central Office (Congrats!) closer to their home I will miss her at work. It was fun talking wedding stuff each week. She was an awesome co worker! Congrats to Casey too, who is now moving up and is an assistant principal now! So many things to celebrate!
CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU, I WISH YOU THE BEST IN YOUR FUTURE!
Thank you Britany Sulcer for all your help and second shooting...
