I have waited for this wedding all year! I met Meredith and Trey at another wedding that I did a few years ago. Meredith was a bridesmaid in Maggie and David Wickham's wedding. I got to do engagement photos in Old Town Alexandria with them about a year ago. I remember them being a little nervous at first, but then they warmed right up to the camera and they were good to go. It really made it easier for them to be ready and comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day. Meredith and Trey are both graduated from Virginia Tech University, (Go Hokies!) and are now architects! Later on you will see some photos of how they did their seating arrangements/favors, I thought it was the most adorable idea ever! Since they are both architects, they made little wood houses with each guests name one it, so cool! Their wedding had so many rustic and special touches to it. I had such an amazing time photographing it. I have to say my favorite part though was at the reception when they played "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey. I never hear that played at a wedding, not even the December weddings. To hear EVERYONE in that reception sing it super loud and just dance was the best thing to hear and see. I will never forget a Christmas song at a fall wedding- BEST! Meredith looked stunning! We were so worried ALL week about rain because that was all that was in the forecast the entire time...We ended up with a windy, but beautiful day! The venue The Barn at Richardson Farm was very pretty. The corn field not only helped with the wind, but was great in photos. The staff was also running around like crazy and always polite whenever anyone needed anything. Thank you Britany Sulcer for your help second shooting!
